ABSTRACT

ASPECTS CONCERNING THE STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT OF ETHICAL PROCEDURES IN QUALITATIVE SOCIAL RESEARCH WITH VULNERABLE SUBJECTS

The paper is a problematization that has as its starting point the article „Vulnerability in procedural ethics: A study of 44 national research ethics guidelines”, published a year ago by R. Tapscott and S. Moxon in the journal Qualitative Research. The study of the two researchers analyses how the challenges of ethics of research in the field of social sciences are reflected and addressed in the current national research ethics guidelines, as well as the degree to which they provide adequate responses to concrete situations in the field. The author of this paper develops a concise critical discussion starting from the major conclusions highlighted in the mentioned study.
